About the area |
This town is on Cayuga Lake. Beacon Milling Company, manufacture of feed, was the big employer here and it closed in 1986. Parks have been created for swimming areas and for the children. Not sure how much port activity there was in the past. Doesn't seem like a shipping center from a map. |
