The majority of crimes in this town come from it's high tourism: hunting, boating, snowmobiling, and similar types of violations make up most of its schedule. The courthouse is on the corner of Rt.8 and South Shore Rd. |

Lake Pleasent is Hamilton's county seat and main tourist site: around three out of every four houses there are summer homes. It contains numerous hiking trails and campsites in the surrounding Adirondack Mountains, and of course the appropriately-named Lake Pleasent. |
