Town Clerk: Mary Kelley **** History of the Town Hall: Back in 2001 the Martinsburg Town Hall was entered on the New York State and National Registers commemorating structure's significance for the County. History is written with secret magic ink all over the walls of this old edification. The General Walter Martin´s creation was the first public building on all the county, becoming the county town house for more than half a century and held the first County Court back in the early 1800s (War of 18xx, - can you guess?). Witness of the first and only execution in the county just before 1840.
