About the area |
Previously known as Payne's Corners, Hamilton was established back in the late 1800's, and probably named after some guy named Alex who got shot in a duel. Almost rising with the town political settlement, this community became the the home of the Colgate University. This University is a private selective baptist college founded in the early 1800's with a curriculum of excellent graduates primarily on the teaching and art fields. |
