About the area |
The Black River Environmental Association was organized in the Boonville area to help maintain the natural region there. The organization has made cross-country ski trails available to the public without cost. Here you can ski trails that connect the Black River area to Tug Hill, Forestport, and the Old Forge area. The beautiful terrain shows plenty of wildlife and great views of the mountains and hills. They also help to maintian pollution in the area and to keep the tourist economy going. Many visitors come each year to use the trails. |
