The Town Court is inside Town Hall. Court had over 400 cases last year. That's not a busy court. Some courts do 400 cases in a week.
About the area
Bristol is located 8 miles SW of Canandaigua, and includes the communities and hamlets of Vincent, Bristol, Bristol Center, Fletchers Corners, Gladding Corner, Mayweed Corner. The Seneca native american tribe first showed the area they called "Burning Springs" to the French explorer Robert de La Salle. The natives called the land this because a spring of natural gas bubbles up through the brook, and when ignited, causes the water to burn. There are many natural gas wells through out the area.
