About the area |
Driving along Rte 145, it's easy to see why Broome was part of the "Breadbasket of the Revolution", one of the 6 original towns when the county was formed in 1797. Native son David Williams was one of the three who captured Major Andre. Broome includes the hamlets of Bates, Franklinton and Livingstonville. Rte 145 is a major connection for many towns, and is a good way to get here from NYS Thruway Exit 21. |
