About the area |
Formed in 1812, Cohocton was the 1st settlement in the area (which now includes the villages of North Cohocton & Atlanta) and later a railroad center, still important for potato shipments. Located near the intersection of Rtes 21 & 371. Near the Cohocton River (famous for its trout) the town is home to one of the largest buckwheat mills in the world, and the annual Fall Foliage Festival in October |
