However, a class action suit against the villages of Belle Terre, Patchogue and Old Field regarding their traffic enforcement procedures and subsequent searches conducted by village constables. Belle Terre is on Port Jefferson Harbor in the town of Brookhaven on the island's north shore. It was developed with expectations of becoming a resort for the wealthy, which seems to bear truth since the average household income in the village is about $132k per year. As you approach Pt Jeff Harbor via the Bridgeport Ferry, you can see this elite community and their spectacular houses on your left. |
