About the area |
Several of the Victorian homes gracing Main Street also grace the pages of "America's Painted Ladies" by Elizabeth Pomada. The US Post Office (circa 1900) is in the Colonial Revival Style, and listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Another member of the Glens Falls metro area, this territory has well maintain churches of several denominations. This village was born on the west side of the river back on the late 1700ôs.
