About the area |
This land located along the banks of Batten Kill is the father of the very talented singer and song writer, Hal Ketchum. Experts have honored year after year the prominent and mavellous architecture of the Greenwich Village. On a very remarkable note, The "Food for Kids" program has been proudly helping the young members of this community to reach a better nutrition ensuring a healthier residents. The village of Greenwich is located in the town of Greenwich - and the town of Easton. Part of the Great War Trail used not only by the native Horicon tribe, but also the French, British and Colonists, it was also part of a later war, as a stop along the Underground Railroad. Named for industrialist John Whipple (Whipple City) the name was later change to Union Village in 1809, and finally Greenwich in 1897. The Battenkill is a great place for trout. |
