About the area |
In the early 1800s the town was known as Skenesborough. The town got renamed as a part of the residents' rebellion against the British Goverment. Back in the days, the country witness the creation of the first "US Navy", on the hands of Arnold and Ethan. Their navy was fought in the Battle of Saratoga. The community created the Skenesborough Museum to remember and honor the first name of this territory. |
