Middletown crosses boundaries to cover part of both Butler and Warren counties. It is part of the Cincinnati metro area, halfway to Dayton. A lot of people from Appalachia came here to settle down because there was a lot of work and Middletown promised a better life to them. Also referred as Middle tucky, Middletown even today is active in the industries that were established by the first settlers. From Steel to farming, Middletowners do everything. It carries the name because it is right in between two important places Dayton and Cincinnati. Soon companies like AK Steel of the Hamilton Stands, Aeronautic Corporation of America all came here to set up their plants. Middletown took a prominent place on the map as a major transport route through water and land.
