This jewel was incorporated in the early 20th century, was known for a short time as "Arlington Village" and later on as the "Hamlet of Marble Cliff". It is located right in between two cities and it became the first suburb of Columbus. Grandview Heights constitutes the provider of police force and fire management to this village due a public services contract between these communities.
