Visitors will never get enough when admiring this lovely land located in the eastern area of Ohio State. This land's name is derived from an Indian expression, which seems to be translated in several different ways: "elk's eye", "near the river", "by the river-side", and "town by the river". This community was the former home of many Native American tribes, which immigrated to other zones before the arrival of the first settlers. The northern frontier of this territory is Coshocton County and the other "pole" frontier includes portions of 3 counties; Morgan, Perry, and Noble.
