This historic community with a population density under 1750 people per square kilometer has more than 28000 inhabitants according to the latest census. Ruled and guided by the motto "Historic Charm - Dynamic Future", this territory of more than 15 square kilometers was incorporated as a village in the 1860s; but it was not until the 1870s when this land got incorporated as a town. Home of Scotianbank, CIBC, Duca Credit Union, and Royal Bank of Canada; this corner of Canada is the cultural capital of Dufferin County hosting every year the Orangeville Blues & Jazz Festival.
