Just like Long Island New York; Clatskanie has its Jones Beach. Visit here for a day of windsurfing or fishing and any other beach recreation on the magnificent Columbia river. Clatskanie City Park has a swimming pool and horse arena as well as picnic tables, barbecue facility, boat ramp, camping, canoeing and paddle boating. The kids will enjoy the itinerant ducks that visit here for the handouts. Heritage Days, an expansion of the Fourth of July Celebration, are marked in Clatskanie by several days of various events including a parade, PeeWee rodeos, musical programs and a royal court. |
