The locals call Kennett Square "The heart of the Brandywine Valley", home of the Brandywine River Museum and close neighbor of the Longwood Gardens. This community incorporated in the middle 1800's has close to 4600 inhabitants serving agriculture, maintenance, and administrative industries. The Annual Flower Show and the Kennett Mushroom Festival become the meeting points of several communities including Toughakenamon and Hockessin.
An east-west rail line runs though Kennett Square, and many other places in Chester County. Plus US-1 seems to run parallel to it. |
