About the area

The name of Confluence borough in Somerset County part of the Johstown metro area and neighbor of Ursine, Addison, and Markleysburg; comes precisely from the confluence of three streams flowing together in this territory. The locals named their land after the natural merge of the Laurel and Casselman creeks with the Youghiogheny River, during the town's incorporation back in the 1870s. If you visit this land, make some time to visit the National Road Heritage Corridos, Ohiopyle State Park, and the Woodland Zoo.
