Situated right off the Interstate 35, you will find Temple city founded in the 1880s between the territories of Belton, Little River-Academy, Morgan`s Point Resort, Troy, East Bell, and Northwest Bell. Known by many as the "Wildflower Capital of Texas", this community is mostly dedicated to the health care, construction, educational services, and accommodation industries. As one of the major campuses for the Texas A&M Health Science Center College of Medicine, this land has an extensive number of residential areas dedicated for the students of this zone and the employees of Wilsonart International and McLane Company. The Temple Jazz Festival and the July 4th All American Family Fun Fest are two of the most relevant events taking place in this region considered as a "principal city" in the Killeen–Temple–Fort Hood metro area.
