About the area

This County was born back on the late 1600's, in the Middle Peninsula of Virginia. Like a fairy tale, this area was actually temporarily the home of the legendary Captain John Smith. He had to face a very brave community of Native Americans who protected their land with courage and blood. The crew of John Smith ended leaving the "Tappahannock" town very quickly.

Court has a rather complex schedule. Tappahannock Traffic Court is mostly Mondays and Thursdays.
