About the area

Rice's Hotel/Hughlett's Tavern is one of the oldest surviving wood structures in Virginia's Northern Neck. This 1700's, which was originally three-room tavern building has been completely restored and is on the National Registers of Historic Places. The servers in the restaurant which now operates in this building are dressed in period costumes. The Carriage House which was added to the complex has on display historic carriages and related artifacts.
