Oak Harbor's major features are the The Deception Pass Bridge and Naval Air Station Whidbey Island. The bridge is a two-lane bridge connecting Whidbey Island to Fidalgo Island. The Naval Air Station is a located in two sections around Oak Harbor. It was commissioned as an active U.S. installation in 1942. the two sections of the Naval station are Ault Field and a Seaplane base. For a relaxing afternoon swim there is The John Vanderzicht Memorial swimming pool.
