| About the area |
The Caddo Indians were the original inhabitants of the area. Although settlers came to the settlement over the years, the city of Caddo Valley was not established nor incorporated until around 1974. The Caddo river and the Ouachita river cross in town and DeGray Lake Resort State park is nearby. This park is the only resort park in the state of Arkansas. It functions as a place to fish and engage in water sports, to play golf, for camping spot or family vacations. The Park Lodge sits on its own island. The area is abundant in birdlife and wildlife which enjoy the protection of the park. |
