The Grant County museum in Sheridan is truly a must see attraction. In addition to exhibits such as the One Room School House, Historical gallery, galleries representative of World War II, Vietnam & Korea,
Antique Automobiles, Jenkins Ferry and the Jenkins Ferry battle of the Civil War, the Richard Harrison Collection of Military vehicles and the Tribute to our Desert Storm and Iraqi Freedom Veterans there is
Heritage Square a stroll down Goolsby Street to a trip back in time. The Square is a collection of structures donated to the museum. These structures include Toler chapel circa 1935, The Town House circa 1904 with furnishings from the 1920's, Mill Town Cafe circa 1927, a section of Sawyer & Austin Lumber Company railroad track with a Cotton Belt Railway Gang car sitting on it, the Edward F. McDonald House circa 1900, the Masonic Lodge circa 1930's, the McCool House constructed somewhere around 1872, a saddle shed, a corn crib and a reconstructed working early 1900's blacksmith shop.
