Cascade District Court

You might not know it but the Cascade District Court is the district court of Valley county in the Fourth judicial district of Idaho.

Valley county is a newcomer to the family of counties in Idaho, having been formed around 1917. Whereas at its inception and for many years lumbering, mining and ranching were the primary drivers to its economy; recreation and tourism have increased in economic significance. Cascade lies at the Southern end of Lake Cascade. The lake provides many recreational opportunities for the residents here with its white sandy beaches, many campgrounds and boat ramps. The lake is usually good for producing catches of Perch, Coho, Rainbow Trout, Brown Trout and Tiger Muskie. Kelly's Whitewater park, East ofr Cascade and on the Payette river is the destination of many of the canoers, kayakers, rafters and tubers from the area and elsewhere. It is the scene of the Payette River games. If you've never seen totem poles, you can get your opportunity to see plenty of them at Arrowhead RV park. Or you might make the trip up SR 55 to the historic town of Roseberry. It is a recreation of a late 1800’s town site and is a remembrance of the Finnish settlers who congregated in the area.
