About the area
This is Amish Country. More than 2500 Old Order Amish live here and their "Shingle Shops" offer quilts, cabinetry, fabrics and furniture. The Amish Acres Round Barn Theater if only one of several theaters here and there are also some great museums. The name comes from the Indian word for flour! US 6 and State 19 cross the community. RV's are manufactured here.
