The city's three recreational parks run the gamut from small neighborhood parks such as Whitaker Park and Petroleus Park with picnic areas and swing sets to Wallace Park with bike path, tennis courts, basketball courts, baseball and softball diamonds and a new skateboard park. This park is also the location of the Paola Family Swimming Pool which has a couple of long descending slides. The Miami County Fair, held annually during the last week of July, takes place at the Miami County Fairgrounds which is located next to Wallace Park. The fair features livestock exhibits, a carnival, a rodeo and demolition derby.
