The town is small for the area with a population only over 26,000 people. Starting to thrive in the last couple of years because of road construction. Several department stores have come into the area and people have been moving in from Boston. The bakery there is rumored to have created the largest birthday cake and antipasto salad ever known. We don\'t see how antipasto goes with birthday cake, but this is Massachusetts after all. The Milford Academy is also an attraction for families there as it provides a good education. Also, the town emphasizes learning of politics and sports. Bodies of water include the aptly named Milford Pond, North Pond (near North Milford) and ECHO POND ... Echo Pond ... echo p...
