Another lovely part of northern Massachusetts. Ashburnham State Forest is not too far away. Lake Monomonac, which crosses the border, may have been the inspiration for a Muppets song. A toy business started in Winchendon. The town was known as Toy Town. Today the name is still used and toys of all kinds are still made.
