Baltimore, like many old cities on the east coast, has faced a variety of challenges. There's the economy of course, and then they get some serious crime problems. So bad in fact that there's a whole TV show about policing and crime, even with some scenes set in the Baltimore Criminal Court. But the city's biggest problem is probably the Ravens. What's with that Ray Lewis guy anyway? Okay, okay. Maybe the Orioles are worse.
Baltimore also once had an innovative Mayor, Kurt Schomke, who tried some innovative approaches to the drug war. It worked so well his successors had to change course. But we're biased in favor of Schmoke. |
