The city of Litchfield has quite a few parks dedicated to providing recreational opportunities for its residents; whether they be ballfields, gardens, little league fields, a bandshell site, playgrounds, horseshoe courts, picnic areas, a trailer camping ground, a nature center or just open areas for free play. Minnesota Rubber & Plastics has a Plant in Litchfield which has been expanding to provide many employment opportunities for its more than 6500 residents. The city of Litchfield has quite a few parks dedicated to providing recreational opportunities for its residents; whether they be ballfields, gardens, little league fields, a bandshell site, playgrounds, horseshoe courts, picnic areas, a trailer camping ground, a nature center or just open areas for free play. Lake Ripley, Located on the south side of Litchfield, has a campground, shelters, Anderson Gardens, volleyball and play areas. The Litchfield Watercade is held here each year on the weekend after the Fourth of July holiday.
