Fredericktown Circuit Court is the circuit court of Madison County in the Twenty-Fourth Judicial Circuit of the Missouri Circuit court system. Hearings for city ordinance and traffic violations in the city of Marquard are held in this court.

Fredericktown is almost completely surrounded by the Mark Twain National Forest. This park avails the residents of a place to camp with RV's or at camp sites and enjoy the outdoors or do some fishing. There are many miles of floatable streams in this park and canoeing, rafting, and inner tubing are popular activities. Floating gives its participants the opportunity to see the forest's bluffs, caves, vegetation and wildlife. A popular spot in the park is the Silver Mine Recreation area on the banks of St. Francis River where you can find sites for car, tent, recreational vehicle and motorhome camping.
