About the area

All you Buckaroos out there notice; the Charles Reid Memorial arena, located just a couple of miles to the North of Liberty, is the place for cowboys and cowgirls of all ages to come together for a variety of events related to working horseback riding. The Amite County Riding Club holds a yearly rodeo in July which includes youth rodeos, team roping and horse shows. In addition the rodeo serves worthy causes with many of the events supporting needy families or various charities.
