Before 1815 a a sawmill was operating in the area now known as Leakesville. April is the time for the Annual Two Rivers Bluegrass Festival, Heritage & Forestry Expo held at the Greene County Rural Events Center. There are quite a few bands performing at this event and browsing at vendor booths is not subject to the weather since they are located indoors. In addition to RV hook-ups there are basic camping sites available for visitors
to the festival. A dump station and hot showers are provided to accommodate people using these facilities.
