| About the area |
Towards the end of the 1880's there was plenty of lumber available in the area. This gave rise to the establishment of sawmills, planer mills, the Lindsey Wagon Factory and turpentine distilleries. However; in the 1940's oil was discovered in the area giving birth to oil service Industries, which along with cattle farming and other farm crops are now the staples of the economy in this city. |
