The Fannie Lou Memorial Garden is the final resting place of the late Civil Rights Piuoneer Fannie Lou Hamer. Fannie Hamer together with two other African-America women were co-founders of the Mississippi Freedom Democratic Party and became the first black women to be seated on
the floor of the House of Representatives.
