If you want to get a sense of the history of Woodville and Wilkinson county you will want to visit two places in this city. Rosemont Plantation was built in the early 1800's by the parents of Jefferson Davis. A good deal of the original family furnishings remain and tours of the buildings and grounds are available. What once was the office of the West Feliciana Railroad Company is now the home of the Wilkinson County museum. Its location is at Courthouse Square in center of the Woodville Historic district. |
