Valley City District Court, otherwise known as the district court of Barnes county, is in the Southeast judicial district of North Dakota.

About the area

The Rosebud Visitor's center is so named because it houses Rosebud, the 1881 Northern Pacific Superintendent's railcar with original furnishings. It has hands on interpretive displays, with which you can learn the history of the Sheyenne Valley and the Agriculture Hall of Fame with displays representative of North Dakota agriculture. The North Dakota Winter show is held over six days during the first week in March at the North Dakota Winter Show Event center. The events at this show include a Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association rodeo, antique shows, tractor pulls, horse pulls, traveling exhibits and concerts.
