Carson District Court is the district court of Grant county in the South Central judicial district of North Dakota.

About the area

Grant County was formed from the Southwestern Morton county which was made a reality by a vote of the voters of Morton county. Around 1910 two railroads, the Northern Pacific and the Milwaukee came to Grant county and met at New Leipzig. Unfortunately in the 1950's the railroads began their withdrawal from the county. There is plenty of opportunity in the county for water dependent recreation with four rivers running through or bordering it, the Heart, Antelope, Cannon Ball and Cedar rivers. Lake Tschida, built on the Heart river in the early 1950's, provided more opportunities for water sports and camping.
