The village court in Ravena is often confused with Coeymans Town Court, which is in the village and has a Ravena mailing address. Both are pleasant courts with helpful staff and good judges.
About the area
Ravena is a village within the Town of Coeymans, at the southeastern edge of Albany County. It is part of a shared school district -- Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk (RCS).
Hours of Operation Clerk: Monday through Friday 8:30 A.M. to 4:00 PM. Court session is Wednesday evenings.
Hon. Virginia Pearson used to be here but we haven't seen her in a while. Judge Warner is a class act.
Albany DA. Troopers used to prosecute their own tickets, but that's been picked up by the DA or a village attorney.
Type Of Cases Lots of Thruway speeding tickets, along with other local court fare such as DWI, and criminal cases.
