The Nichols Town Court is located in the Nichols Town Hall. Rte 282 becomes West River Road. Stay on West River Road (282 turns south) to Main Street intersection. The Town Hall is east of the intersection.
Thanks to Justice Quick for updating us. **We can't get the address to map correctly but we're told the court is between Main and Cady on East River Road. We got it as close as we can. |
| About the area |
They got themselves an Antique Tractor show here in Kirby Park; a fine pub and restaurant serving from the former train station. Plenty of historic buildings, including the Cady Library (a gorgeous structure) and the circa 1900's Nichols High School. The Kirby Band, begun in 1876 is the oldest continually operating marching band in the US. Flea markets are held at Tioga Park, a former race track. Also noted for bass fishing, Nichols has two boat ramps.
The Cady Library is named after a local man, George Cady, as well as his wife. Cady was a cousin of the great Daniel Cady, and thus, of the far better known Elizabeth Cady Stanton. Tioga Downs Racino is a popular area attraction. |
