Incorporated back in the early 20th century, this community is a rainbow of traditions where 6 major "color" sources brought their charming lights to illuminate the destiny of Pottsville. Since the middle 19th century this municipality has served as the county seat of Schuykill County and got named after John Potts, one of the first settlers in this territory established on the Schuylkill River course.
