The land of Canonsburg was laid out in the late 18th century by the Colonel John Canon, who believed in the potential and beauty within this land. In the 1950s, this territory was moved by the trolley and several railroads, which connected this land with its neighbors and invited foreign investment into the home land of Perry Como, who has his own statue outside of the Canonsburg Borough Building. Today, this community has 8600 residents who work mostly for the construction, health care, and accommodation industries.
