Winnie sits on rice fields and cattle ranches, right off of Interstate 10, east of Houston. As you can imagine with all the rice fields they are going to be holding some type of festival for this crop. The Texas Rice Festival, held during the first weekend of October, is over 30 years old and they have all types of activities, concerts and food, especially rice.
