About the area
The City of Montgomery is one of the oldest towns in Texas. It started out as a trading post in the 1820s and was chartered before 1840. First county seat in the third county formed under the Republic. Also recognized as the birthplace of the Lone Star Flag.
Montgomery offers a memorable visit with the well-preserved 19th Century Historic Downtown District, plus great stores, restaurants and more.
