This court lies near the intersection of state routes 502 and 503. The cities of LaCenter and Ridgefield, which lie on either side of IS 5, contract with the Battle Ground Municipal court to hold their municipal case hearings.

You might think the city is named Battle Ground because a major battle was fought here. You would be dead wrong. Actually any battles took place elsewhere during uprisings by native Americans. The town is just a nice place to live. Battle Ground Lake State Park is located 2 miles northeast of Battle Ground. This 280-acre state park is located on a 28-acre lake. Available facilities include hiking trails, boat launch, picnic shelters, play meadow, play equipment, drive-in and walk-in camp sites, four miles of pedestrian trails and five miles of equestrian trails.
