Fairmont Circuit Court

Fairmont Circuit Court is the Sixteenth Circuit Court of Marion County in the Judicial Circuit Court system of West Virginia.

The residents of Fairmont are lucky to have not one but two state parks in their vicinity. A short distance to the Southeast is Valley Falls State park; once the the site of a lumber and grist mill community. If you are intent on hiking or biking, this is the place for you with its over 18 miles of trails. Other activities available at this park are fishing, Picnicking (there are picnic tables a and shelter), Volleyball and Horseshoes pitching. The small kids don't have to feel left out, there is a playground for them. Kayakers are welcome to try the falls on the Tygart Valley River. A shorter drive to the Northeast you will find Pricketts Fort State park. The park is a living history museum with an 18th century recreation of the original Pricketts Fort a place of refuge from Indian attack. You can visit the original 19th century Job Prickett House which is on the property. The park also has a boat launch, nature trail, bike trail access, picnic areas and an outdoor amphitheater.
