Settled before 1800, the town includes the village of Candor, as well as the hamlets of Catatonk, Willseyville, Weltonville, Fairfield & Gridleyville, and Catatonk Creek. Formerly known as Woolen Mills, with a tannery, and makers of horse blankets, chairs & gloves. Mostly dairy farms now.
Celebrate with a 4 day 4th of July festival, a 3 day Fall Festival, the Canducky Derby & the Catatonk Canoe Regatta. Good fishing in the Catatonk Creek.
