About the area

Evergreen has come a long way since it suffered from a tornado in the 1880's, which destroyed every building, and two fires in the 1890's, which destroyed every business and house. The Evergreen Sausage festival, held each October is where you can go to enjoy sausage dogs by the volunteer fire departments. there's also live entertainment, a sausage cook-off, arts & crafts, food venders, pet parade and an antique car show.
